Next Generation iPhone Upsets Apple Cart

Words of the Day

“Don’t upset the apple cart.”  Anonymous American proverb.

Apple Falls From Cart, Bar Stool

Apple found itself in a bit of a pickle this week.

The trendy technology and computer company, whose iPods, iPhones – and most recently iPads – have taken the world by storm,  faces a PR dilemma.  It seems one of its company engineers left the next generation iPhone on a bar stool in Redwood City, Calif.  Oops!

Gizmodo.com, a technology blog, obtained the iPhone prototype for $5,000.  The handset has a front-facing camera, metallic rim and boxier design.  It also has a camera flash, higher resolution screen and larger battery After receiving a letter requesting the return of the iPhone from Apple’s general counsel, the editor of Gizmodo returned  it to the company.

With all the good PR Apple has enjoyed from its leading-edge devices, this dose of bad publicity has the company yearning to get back in the cart an on the right PR track.  WordSmith wonders if there is an app for that!
